We will start the Care Kit this week. We will also begin gardening this week. Thanks to Mary (Erik's Mom) for getting the courtyard garden patch ready.

And regarding Gym this week. We start Soccer. We are very lucky to have Asena, Tahano's mother and soccer coach, joining us. She will give us some drills to practise and give us some tips during games. We will be outside for these practises. Please make sure your son or daughter has appropriate running shoes.

Asena plays soccer with Div 7 again this week. Please make sure your son or daughter has running shoes for outside use. The weather is very changeable so please make sure to have a jacket at school and extra socks and pants.

I have the following notices going home this week:  May 1st Field Trip Information Form (Permission Form coming later), Curriculum Previews for Kindergarten and Grade One, a letter to inform you of our upcoming Care Kit Program (starting on April 20th)

Regarding lunches:  Please send fruits and vegetables for a healthy recess snack. We have a student that has an allergy to peanuts. Please remember to choose nut free granola bars and refrain from sending peanut butter sandwiches. Thanks!

Please get field trip forms in on Monday at the latest. If you volunteered to drive to our field trip we will need you. We leave at 9:20 Thursday morning. Feel free to come in at the bell and join in with the home reading program.

April 2nd *just photos

Here are some shots taken at activity time. You can see students are engaged in their play and interacting with classmates. Here we have Lego, puzzles and drawing center.

Next I'd like to show you the stages of our egg dying. 

After we put elastics around the eggs we place the eggs in the dyed water so that the colour from the onion skin would set.

This took about 20 minutes.

We still had to dry the eggs and then take off the elastic bands. Voila! 

And a big thanks to Julie for her help and her sharing in the excitement!
